Mug features include a "peak-a-boo" interior. The clay slab is wrapped around a cylinder before design is applied through my colored slip layered over lace and stencil technique. A small circle slab is formed on a hump mold and foot created. Handles are made and all three are assembled into final form. Details often include a folded over lip for added strength and a small hole in the foot to allow dishwasher water to drain. All work is food safe, microwave safe and dishwasher safe*.

I also make cups when I just don't want to handle. Also shot cups which are adorable! Finding new ways to use them is super fun; rinse after brushing, serve a small snack, spruce up your dipping sauce. Cups are 3" diameter, 4"tall. shot cups are 1-1.5" tall and the best thing ever!

I make a variety of small food safe bowls around 5" in diameter and smaller. A form i experiment with a lot, so if you catch me at an art fair, look with curiosity. You might find your new favorite ramen bowl or a unique conversation piece.

Discover my unique slab built serving dishes. Each piece is meticulously crafted using my innovative technique of layering colored slips and lace on a raw slab of clay before forming. The giant 13" bowls, xxl oval serving platters, and reasonably sized 10" bowls are designed with love and care to elevate your hosting experience.

Slab built plates are made in two sizes; 10" and 13". Great for wall decor, a statement serving piece or use an entire set for a fancy dinner. Dishwasher and microwave safe* Can be used in the oven as long as you avoid rapid/sudden cooling or heating.

Sculptural work is made using the same techniques as my pottery. Each piece in a series has a unique design and pattern. slip trailing produces "stitches" that emphasizes each seam in the clay evoking a patched quality in each piece. Just as each of us might be stitched together by the community we reside in.

I make a limited number of these little symphonies a year and each is a one of a kind creation. Ceramic gives a beautiful clear and earthy tone. Holds up well in the weather, but might not survive a tornado. Hang it away from brick walls and enjoy the harmonies.

I make smaller bits and bobs to use the beautiful scraps generated from my process. Hand made buttons make wonderful addition to sewing projects..
