Artist Statement

Inspiration for my work stems from fabric craft, specifically quilting and lacework. These Historically feminine craft forms allow me to explore the gender roles pressed into my life and how I have been shaped by them. Sculptural forms especially express how society and communities can shape and reshape an individual.

I was raised in the Intermountain West and now make my home and art studio in the Midwest. I received my BFA from the Hartford Art School. After raising three excellent daughters while perfecting my clay technique I am putting my art out to the world.
